EUMENT-NET Expert Exchange| 11–12 June 2026 | Luxembourg
We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming EUMENT-NET Expert Exchange, which takes place on 11–12 June 2026 at the University of Luxembourg.
As a pre-event, we are delighted to announce that on 10 June, the University of Luxembourg will host will host Laura Bates for an evening lecture (part of their Women Leaders Series). Participants are warmly invited to join us already on the 10th for this special session.
This year’s exchange meeting — “Advancing Career Development Through Mentorship Within Complex and Unequal Academic and Research Environments” — aims to bring together professionals — both seasoned and new — working on Gender Equality and/or Mentoring, including practitioners, researchers, programme coordinators, and institutional leaders, to explore how mentoring can meaningfully support equitable career development across diverse contexts.
The two days will offer a collaborative and practice-oriented space dedicated to learning, reflection, and exchange rather than formal presentations. The meeting will focus on exchange formats such as short provocation talks, practice exchange sessions (“show & tell, not sell”), and co-creation workshops. The following topics are foreseen:
- Promoting equality and scientific excellence together in the European research area (Dr. Marcela Linková)
- Men and Mentors as Allies (Prof. Skerdi Zanaj)
- Fostering institutional change: Inclusive mentorship and Communities of Practice (Dr. Ola Thomson)
It is possible to apply for an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Grant to join this event. Please contact the Gender Equality Office for an invitation for your Erasmus Office.
Participation fee is 70 EUR. Payment can be made online by credit card when you register or by invoice at a later stage. If you would like to attend but are unable to pay the registration fee due to personal circumstances, please contact . In exceptional cases, the fee may be waived.
